Written to be read rather than to be survived. If anything here is unclear, ask and we will say it more plainly — and change it.
Your name, your business name, your email address, your phone number, your shop’s web address, and a scrambled version of your password that cannot be turned back into the password.
If you pay through Shopify, the charge is on your Shopify bill; otherwise Stripe takes the card. We never see or store your card details.
Your studio reads your shop so that it can be useful: products, prices, stock, orders, and your customers’ names and email addresses where your shop holds them. Whatever else you connect — your email list, your register, your social accounts — it reads that too.
All of it stays on your studio’s own disk. Each client has their own server and their own disk. No client’s data is ever in the same place as another’s, and there is no route between them.
Your studio reports to us once an hour. Here is the whole of what that report contains, and the whole of what it does not.
It never sends us your customers, your orders, your products or your conversations. We could not show you those if you asked us to, because we do not have them.
The one exception is your Shopify key. When you install our app, Shopify gives the key to us, and we pass it to your studio. Until your studio is built, it waits in our server’s memory, never on a disk. Shopify keys last an hour, and renewing one takes our app’s secret, which only we hold. So each hour your studio sends us its renewal key, and we send the new pair straight back. We keep no copy.
Your studio talks to the services you connect it to, and to Anthropic, whose models it runs on. Anthropic processes what is sent in order to answer, under their own terms.
We do not sell your data, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use one client’s business to train anything.
Emails about your account — your studio being ready, a payment problem, your monthly summary — are part of the service and are sent whether or not you asked for marketing.
Marketing emails and text messages each need their own yes, given separately, and neither box is ever ticked for you. You can withdraw either at any time in your settings, and texts stop on replying STOP.
You can download everything we hold about you at any time from your settings, without asking anyone.
Cancelling with us stops the money that day rather than at the end of the month. A plan on your Shopify bill follows Shopify’s billing terms. There is no notice period and nothing further is charged. Your studio stays up for 30 days so you can change your mind or take your work with you. After that it is deleted and your shop’s keys are destroyed with it.
Disconnecting a single service in your settings destroys that key immediately, rather than hiding it.
It reads freely.
Nothing that changes your shop, spends money, or reaches a customer happens without you pressing a button. It prepares the whole thing, shows you exactly what will happen, and waits.
It is a tool and it can be wrong. Check what it prepares before you approve it, the same way you would check anything else that goes out in your name.
Billed monthly in advance. If you pay through Shopify, the plan is on your Shopify bill and Shopify’s billing terms apply to it; you change or cancel it in Shopify. Otherwise you can cancel any time here, effective immediately.
Each plan includes a monthly allowance of the work it does for you. If you approach it, the studio tells you before you reach it — it will not stop without warning you first.
If a payment fails you have 10 days before the studio pauses. Pausing is never deleting: everything is exactly where you left it and comes straight back.
If you are a customer of a shop that uses us, or you remove our app from a platform such as Shopify, Facebook or Instagram, the platform can send us a request to show or delete what is held about you. We record every request, carry it out on that shop’s studio, and finish it within 30 days. You can check a request at /data-deletion.
Signing in to your account also keeps a record of what was done on it — sign-ins, changes, payments — which you can see in your settings. It never contains your password, and the place you signed in from is kept only as a short code.
Tell us. We would rather hear it than have you leave quietly, and we will say plainly what happened rather than issue a statement.
